Specifications

Dytran model 3217A is a compact, low-profile uniaxial IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer designed for general-purpose vibration monitoring in underwater and specialty environments. Its small form factor and adhesive mounting make it ideal for applications where space is limited and traditional mounting methods are impractical.

With a sensitivity of 100 mV/g and a measurement range of 500 m/s², the 3217A provides accurate and stable output for low-to-moderate vibration levels. The frequency response from 1 Hz to 10 kHz, supported by a resonance frequency of 30 kHz, ensures clean signal fidelity across a broad bandwidth.

Weighing only 5 g, the sensor is optimized for lightweight structures and submerged installations. Operating from –50 °C to 120 °C, the 3217A is a reliable solution for underwater vibration diagnostics, modal analysis in fluid environments, and specialty test setups requiring minimal mass and high sensitivity.
