Dytran model 3211A is a compact uniaxial IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer designed for general-purpose vibration monitoring across a wide range of industrial and research applications. It is commonly used in modal analysis, vibration control, and walkabout data collection. Select variants of the 3211 series are submersible, making them suitable for underwater vibration measurements.

With a sensitivity of 10 mV/g and a measurement range of 5000 m/s², the 3211A provides accurate and stable output for dynamic vibration environments. Its frequency response from 1 Hz to 10 kHz, supported by a resonance frequency of 31 kHz, ensures clean signal fidelity for both low-frequency structural modes and higher-frequency mechanical vibrations.

The sensor features center bolt mounting for secure installation and is available in multiple configurations with slight variations in weight (9.6 g to 10 g) and temperature tolerance (–55 °C to 120 °C or –50 °C to 100 °C). This versatility makes the 3211A a reliable choice for both lab-based testing and field deployment in challenging conditions.
