Signal Conditioner 4123B

Dytran model 4123B is a high-density, rack-mountable signal conditioner and amplifier designed to power and process signals from up to twelve IEPE sensors. Each channel provides constant current excitation to operate the sensor’s internal amplifier, decouples the DC bias, and applies selectable voltage gain in steps of x1, x10, or x100 via individual toggle switches.

The front panel includes a 12-position rotary selector switch for choosing a channel to monitor, a fault detection voltmeter, and a BNC “monitor” jack for oscilloscope access to the selected input signal. Each channel’s amplified output is available through both front and rear BNC jacks, which are electrically connected in parallel for flexible integration.

The rear panel houses twelve BNC sensor input jacks, twelve BNC output jacks, a fuse holder, and a standard 3-wire AC power cord. The 4123B is ideal for laboratory setups, multi-sensor test benches, and permanent installations requiring scalable IEPE support with integrated gain control and diagnostic capabilities.
