Overview

Dytran model 4116 is a high-capacity, rack-mounted signal conditioner designed to power and monitor up to 16 IEPE sensors or in-line charge amplifiers. Each channel delivers a regulated constant current between 2 and 20 mA, with individual adjustment capability. Sensor signals are decoupled from the +10 VDC bias using dedicated 10 µF coupling capacitors, ensuring clean signal transmission.

The front panel features 16 BNC output jacks for real-time signal monitoring, while a rotary selector switch enables users to inspect the DC bias voltage of each sensor. A 10-segment LED voltmeter provides visual feedback, and a rear-mounted BNC “monitor” jack allows oscilloscope access to any selected channel—streamlining diagnostics and system checks.

Power options include international 230 VAC (E4116), or external +24 VDC battery/DC pack for remote operation. The three-position power switch offers flexibility between AC, DC, and off modes. With its robust design and diagnostic features, the 4116 is ideal for lab environments, multi-sensor test benches, and permanent installations requiring scalable IEPE support.
