Signal Conditioner 4020

Three-channel microprocessor-controlled signal conditioner for charge mode and IEPE sensors.

  • Sensor types: Charge mode and IEPE
  • Channels: 3
  • IEPE current source: 4 or 10 mA (selectable)
Overview

Dytran model 4020 is a versatile 3-channel signal conditioner designed for use with both charge mode and IEPE sensors. For charge mode sensors, it integrates a precision charge amplifier. For IEPE sensors, it provides a selectable constant current source of 4 or 10 mA at a compliance voltage of +20 VDC, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of piezoelectric transducers.

The unit features a user-friendly interface that allows programming of input and output sensitivities, enabling automatic calculation of amplifier gain. Gain values can also be entered manually and are stored in non-volatile memory for persistent configuration across power cycles. Each channel uses a 12-bit DAC to set gain from 0.00 to 999.9 with 0.5% accuracy, and gain adjustments can be made on-the-fly without risk of damage.

A rear-panel voltage selector switch supports 100, 115, or 230 VAC input, making the 4020 suitable for global deployment. This conditioner is ideal for laboratory testing, calibration setups, and multi-sensor systems requiring flexible signal conditioning across both charge and IEPE modes
