Dytran model 3200B is a highly rugged uniaxial IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer designed for extreme shock environments, including drop testing, pyrotechnic events, far-field blast analysis, and high-impact structural testing. Its compact design and robust construction make it ideal for capturing transient acceleration events with high fidelity.

Available in multiple sensitivity options—0.05 mV/g, 0.1 mV/g, and 0.25 mV/g—the 3200B supports a wide range of shock intensities, with measurement capabilities up to 700,000 m/s². The sensor features an integral mounting stud for secure attachment and a high resonance frequency of 90 kHz, ensuring accurate response to fast, high-energy impulses.

Operating from –50 °C to 120 °C and weighing only 6 g, the 3200B is optimized for lightweight installations where minimal mass loading is critical. Its low-frequency response starting at 0.49 Hz also allows for broader dynamic range in shock waveform analysis. This model is a trusted solution for aerospace, defense, and industrial testing environments requiring precision under extreme conditions.
