Dytran model 3184F is a highly rugged uniaxial IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer designed for reliable vibration measurements in electrically noisy and harsh environments. It features a built-in Faraday shield for electrostatic noise immunity and incorporates a ceramic shear sensing element housed in stainless steel.

The sensor is equipped with a 2-pin MIL–C–5015 axial connector and a ¼–28 tapped hole for secure mounting. It is case-isolated to prevent EMI and ground loop interference, and hermetically sealed to ensure dependable operation in high humidity and dirty conditions.

The 3184F offers a sensitivity of 100 mV/g and a measurement range of 50 g, making it suitable for general-purpose vibration monitoring and environmental testing. It is directly compatible with Dytran’s 6194 Immersion Proof sealing boot, enabling IP65-level protection when used together.
